A hearty congratulations to Dr. Carolyn Calloway-Thomas for her recent award and accomplishments!

She was awarded the 2022 W. George Pinnell Award for Outstanding Service which recognizes faculty who have demonstrated an exceptional breadth of involvement and depth of commitment in service to the university, to their profession, or to the public.  IU President Whitten will present Dr. Carolyn Calloway-Thomas with the award at the Celebration of Distinguished Teaching and Service dinner on Friday, April 1, 2022.

In more news, at the National Communication Association (NCA) convention in Seattle this past November, Dr. Carolyn Calloway-Thomas received a “Presidential Citation” for her dedication and service to the organization.  It is her second citation in four years by two different NCA Presidents. Also, Dr. Carolyn Calloway-Thomas and her former student Dr. Tiffany Bell have signed a contract with SAGE Publishing for their new book on communication and social justice tentatively titled “Speak Out:  A Guide to Public Speaking.”

As Dr. Carolyn Calloway-Thomas often says, "Onwards"!
